Chwaraeon
Our Rugby section consists of two boys teams U16s and U18s, and one girls team U16s. During Talent ID, the best Rugby players from all our member clubs are chosen to represent BGC Wales at international tournaments.
Many successful Welsh Rugby player such as Morgan Stoddart, Richard Hibbard, Tomos Williams and Dewi Lake have played for BGC Wales before starting their successful professional careers.
WALES CAPTAIN
Impressively, Dewi Lake, who captained Wales at Twickenham in a World Cup warm-up match on 13th August 2023, had also led BGC Wales as captain five years ago. Congratulations to Dewi on this remarkable journey!

RUGBY BOYS PRESENTATION 2023
The annual rugby presentation evening took place on May 7th, 2023, at the Towers Hotel in Swansea. It was a joyous occasion where players from the U16s and U18s teams, who had participated in the 2022/23 season, gathered alongside their proud parents and supporters.

RUGBY - NETHERLANDS 2023
​What a great weekend we have had for our rugby boys in the Netherlands! The boys travelled to Amsterdam for an educational visit funded by Taith and had a tough encounter against the Netherlands International Team at the NRCA (National Rugby Centre Amsterdam) Stadium. The National Anthem was played and sung proudly as they lined up before kick-off for their games.
