Cross Country & Athletics Panel
Another important sport in our organisation is Cross Country and Athletics in which we have been engaged for over 50 years.

Every year Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of Wales joins a major Athletic competition, organised by NABGC (National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs) hosted by Essex Boys and Girls Club
January 2023
15 young people from Grangetown BGC are setting off to Essex this weekend to compete in a Cross Country Championships Competition organised by Essex BGC. After the impressive results last year, the team hauled 4 gold medals, 5 silver and 1 bronze. We wish the team the very best of luck for this year.
January 2022
Young people from Grangetown BGC had an excellent weekend of Cross Country winning a total of 10 medals at the NABGC National Cross Country Finals in Essex on Saturday 12 March 2022. The impressive medal haul saw the team win 4 Gold Medals, 5 Silver and 1 Bronze medal.
Another noticeable achievement was Muadh Rahman becoming a double British Champion by winning two Gold Medals.
Steve Khaireh, the club leader, was extremely proud, “We have a great reputation for developing youngsters, and they have done the community proud”.
